Shaun White Reveals New Move Inspired by Girlfriend Nina Dobrev

Shaun White, despite stepping back from competitive snowboarding, continues to showcase his prowess with a fresh move named after his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist treated fans to a video on TikTok and Instagram, unveiling his latest snowboarding feat. In the clip, the 37-year-old White skillfully picks up Dobrev, 35, while gliding down the slopes, executing spins with the 'Vampire Diaries' alum floating her snowboard in the air. This novel move, playfully dubbed the 'Nina 900,' showcases White's creativity and agility.

After completing the 'Nina 900,' White gently places Dobrev back on the slope and the duo continues their snowboarding adventure side by side, concluding the video. Fans flooded the comments with reactions, one noting, “This is the most romantic thing I’ve ever seen.”

Others humourously likened it to a scene from National Geographic, describing it as "snowboarders mating in the wild." Some even suggested it could be a contender for the Olympics, adding a touch of sporty humour to the mix.

As the playful banter unfolded, Claudia Sulewski chimed in, suggesting White should team up with her boyfriend, Finneas O’Connell, for the next creative endeavour. White responded with enthusiasm, "You and Finneas next."

Before the couple's snow-filled escapade, Dobrev shared insights during an interview, revealing the duo's approach to date nights. They take turns planning these weekly engagements, keeping their relationship dynamic. While Dobrev has experienced her fair share of snow-covered adventures, White reciprocated the support by recently joining the actress during the filming of 'The Bricklayer' in Greece.

Reflecting on their dynamic, Dobrev shared insights into the challenges they faced, especially during White's extensive travels for snowboarding competitions. "You know it's interesting because during the Olympics and leading up to the Olympics, he was travelling all over the world, trying to get to the mountains and training," she explained.

Highlighting a shift in their dynamic, she added, "So for a lot of our relationship, it was me travelling to where he had to be, except for during COVID when I was in between jobs. It was cool to have him support me and come out to where I was."
