‘Stranger Things’ Creators Says The Final Season Will be “Season One on Steroids”

The creators of ‘Stranger Things’, Matt and Ross Duffer, have offered a glimpse into what fans can expect from the upcoming final season. With filming set to begin in January for Season Five, the Duffer Brothers shared insights, describing the concluding episodes as reminiscent of the show’s first season, especially with the entire group back in Hawkins.

Matt Duffer likened the upcoming season to “season one on steroids,” emphasizing its unprecedented scale. The narrative brings the characters together in Hawkins, providing a nostalgic feel similar to the interactions in the initial season.

The production of the fifth season faced delays due to Hollywood strikes, which concluded in November. Fans can anticipate the release of the final season in 2025.

In the previous month, London’s Phoenix Theatre premiered a stage play titled ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow,’ which acts as a prequel to the Netflix series. The play introduces young versions of familiar characters, including Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado, and Henry Creel. Directed by Stephen Daldry, known for ‘Billy Elliot,’ the play is based on an original story crafted by the Duffer Brothers, along with contributions from Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry.
