‘Succession’ wrapped up its journey with a victory in the category of outstanding drama series at the 2023 Emmy Awards. Jesse Armstrong, the series creator, shared insights after the finale in May, stating that the idea of Tom becoming the eventual successor had been in his mind for quite some time. Despite Tom not being the most powerful figure, his influence comes from Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård).
