Swifties around the globe were in for an unexpected treat as Taylor Swift, the iconic pop sensation, revealed a fascinating anecdote during the opening night of her Eras Tour in Tokyo. The megastar disclosed to the enraptured crowd that her plans for unveiling her much-anticipated 11th studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, were originally slated for the Tokyo leg of her tour, had she not secured a Grammy win.

In a candid moment captured by a fan-posted video, Swift shared her initial strategy with the audience, admitting that she had confided in only a select few, including her collaborator Jack, about her intention to make the announcement on stage in Tokyo.

Reflecting on her decision, Swift revealed her contingency plan, stating that if she had been fortunate enough to win an award at the Grammys, she would have seized the moment to unveil her new album to the world.

Opening up further during the Evermore set of her concert, Swift offered insights into the creative journey behind 'The Tortured Poets Department,' disclosing that she had been diligently working on the album for approximately two years.

Expressing her passion for music and the joy she derives from creating new albums, Swift playfully addressed the question often posed to her about her prolific output, stating, "Why do you make so many albums? Because I love it so much. I'm having fun. Leave me alone."
