During her second Eras Tour concert in Dublin, Taylor Swift faced an unexpected challenge when she got stuck on a raised platform. Thankfully, one of her dancers was there to lend a helping hand. While performing ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’, a key part of the 'Tortured Poets Department' segment of her tour, Swift found herself stranded midair on a platform at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
The platform failed to retract as planned, unlike the one across from her which smoothly lowered, carrying backup dancer Jan Ravnik. Fan-captured footage shows the moment the malfunction occurred, leaving Swift's platform firmly planted in place.

Displaying true professionalism, Swift and Ravnik smoothly handled the technical mishap without missing a beat. As soon as Ravnik’s platform reached the floor, he walked over to Swift's platform and helped her down effortlessly, a clip of the performance reveals. Swift smiled at Ravnik as he assisted her, maintaining her composure.
Once both were safely on flat ground, Swift and Ravnik resumed their performance, seamlessly getting back into formation before the bridge of ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’. This part of the song features a group of dancers performing marching band-inspired choreography, adding to the high-energy spectacle.
The singer's first Dublin was also brimming with Irish pride. During her performance of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ from Red, one of her backup dancers, Kameron Saunders, continued a Swiftian tradition by giving a shout-out to the host country in its native language. Saunders enthusiastically yelled the Irish phrase "póg mo thóin," meaning "kiss my ass" in English.
Night one in Dublin also saw Swift sporting an orange crop top and an ombré green skirt, a shimmery and stylish nod to the colours of Ireland's flag. This thoughtful gesture further endeared her to the Irish audience, making the concerts memorable despite the minor hiccup.
