Taylor Swift Rocks ’90s Vintage Chiefs Sweatshirt to Support Travis Kelce

As Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce keeps growing, so does her sense of fashion for game days. Swift openly shows her support for Kelce while cheering from the stadium, consistently providing fashion inspiration for her fans.

During the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday, the 33-year-old Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, cheering on her 34-year-old tight-end boyfriend in yet another fabulous outfit that quickly sold out.

For this occasion, the powerhouse performer donned a vintage red-and-black Chiefs sweatshirt from the ’90s, sourced from the local Kansas City retailer Westside Storey. The $250 style is now unavailable on the store’s website. Swift complemented the retro sweatshirt with her signature red lip.

This latest game day look comes on the heels of Swift’s Time 2023 ‘Person of the Year’ interview, where she opened up about her relationship with Kelce for the first time. She provided a timeline breakdown, revealing that their connection began when Kelce playfully mentioned her on his podcast. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other,” Swift explained.

Confirming that they were already a couple when she first supported Kelce at a Chiefs game in September, she emphasized, “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

When it comes to the NFL’s constant focus on her presence during games and the flashing cameras capturing her cheering on screen, the 12-time Grammy winner clarified that her main purpose is to support Travis and the rest is just background noise beyond her control.

Taylor Swift expressed her uncertainty about how the cameras managed to locate her suite, given their distant location. She highlighted the challenge of not knowing when or how frequently the cameras broadcast her image during games. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads,” she said, emphasizing the unpredictability of the camera placements.

Despite this, Swift takes care to embody the role of a WAG (Wives and Girlfriends of athletes), showcasing her sophisticated interpretations of game day style. She skillfully coordinates Chiefs colours, such as her recent pairing of a red Stella McCartney teddy bear coat with chic knee-high boots and pleated skirts at the Green Bay Packers game. Swift is known for donning Chiefs merchandise to demonstrate her support, and her fashion choices often lead to items selling out.
