Taylor Swift Teases ‘Fortnight’ Music Video in a Sneak Peek

The lead song off her eleventh studio album, ‘Tortured Poets Department’, ‘Fortnight,’ which Taylor Swift teased her fans with a preview of its music video, will be released on Friday, 19th April at midnight ET. The 34-year-old singer released a teaser that shows a quick rundown of scenes in black and white.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone, 28, are shown in the teaser sitting at different workstations in a bright white room, each with an emphasis on typewriters. The tones of pink and yellow added by Swift’s typewriter provide a pop of colour.

After a dramatic scene of Swift and Post Malone cuddling on a stormy beach, the trailer cuts to scenes of her wearing a straight jacket and something strange strapped to her head.

Swift appears in a variety of looks in the teaser, including a white ensemble that is evocative of her Grammys appearance and a vintage black gown. At the end of the video, Swift is shown looking straight into the camera while wearing strong lipstick and heavy, smokey eyeshadow.

Swift declared ‘Fortnight’ to be the album’s lead single hours before releasing the teaser, praising Post Malone’s creativity and sound. She also disclosed that ‘Fortnight’ and ‘Florida!!!’—both starring Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine—are two of the tunes on the ‘Tortured Poets Department’ that include a guest artist.

The release of ‘Tortured Poets Department’ is set for 19th April at midnight.
