Taylor Swift’s Father Scott Faces Assault Accusations in Sydney

Following reports from Australian news outlets that Scott Swift, Taylor Swift’s father, was accused of assaulting a photographer in Sydney, a representative for the pop star has provided their perspective on the incident.

According to Sky News, the 71-year-old father was reportedly involved in an altercation with a photographer early on 27th February morning after Taylor’s final concert in Sydney. In response, Taylor Swift’s representative stated, “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

While the police confirmed an investigation into an “alleged assault” involving a 71-year-old man and a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf, they did not disclose the identities of Scott Swift or the photographer. The police statement mentioned that the younger man reported the incident, and inquiries are ongoing.

Taylor Swift concluded her Sydney stops on The Eras Tour with a star-studded event, featuring attendees like Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Travis Kelce, Baz Luhrmann, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge. The tour will resume in Singapore on Saturday after Swift’s Australian and Melbourne performances.

The incident occurred after Taylor Swift’s final Sydney concert, marking the end of her four-show stint in the city as part of The Eras Tour.
