'The Accountant 2': Is Ben Affleck Joining The Netflix Show?

Ben Affleck is reaching new heights with his upcoming roles in 2024. Following the buzz around 'Animals,' his latest crime-thriller set to premiere on Netflix in 2024, fans are eagerly anticipating updates on 'The Accountant 2.'

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, 'The Accountant' showcases Affleck in the role of Christian Wolff, a seemingly ordinary accountant with a clandestine agenda. Operating within the realm of criminal organizations, he skillfully manipulates their financial records.

The film was a resounding success, featuring co-stars Anna Kendrick and J.K. Simmons. The anticipation for a sequel has lingered for years, and Deadline now confirms that 'Accountant 2' is set to commence production in the second half of 2024.

Contrary to speculations, the production of 'Animals,' a collaborative effort between Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, will not interfere with the schedule of 'The Accountant 2.' Although there were previous assumptions that filming would be postponed in 2024, the latest confirmation puts those concerns to rest.

The sequel promises a seasoned Ben Affleck, known for his portrayal of Batman, in a new guise as an accountant entwined with the world of organized crime.

Despite the lack of specific plot details, the film is slated to hit theatres by late 2025. Gavin O’Connor returns as the director, and Bill Dubuque will take on the role of the screenwriter. Beyond Affleck's reprisal, details regarding the return of other cast members such as Simmons, Kendrick, or Bernthal remain undisclosed.
