Blunt quipped about Streep and her character Miranda Priestly being twins, with Hathaway humorously recalling a line from the film. As Streep opened the envelope, Blunt continued the banter, referencing another memorable line from her repertoire.

The adult cast of ‘Modern Family,’ including Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ed O’Neill, graciously honoured ‘The Bear’ cast for their ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series’

Before presenting the award, they shared lighthearted jests about their lives in post-‘Modern Family.’ Vergara highlighted her success with ‘Griselda,’ while O’Neill expressed missing the financial stability the show provided. The ‘Breaking Bad’ cast eagerly embraced their reunion but diverged from the script during the presentation of the ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series’ award. Some cast members declined to perform the written bit and instead chose to sprinkle a few f-bombs onstage.

Jonathan Banks reassured them with a jest, asserting that “they can’t fire us” for deviating from the rules.

During a playful exchange, Sean Astin amusingly disclosed why Elijah Wood never received his SAG Award trophy when ‘The Lord of the Rings’ triumphed years ago.

Reflecting on the passage of two decades, Wood queried Astin about the remarkable timeframe, prompting Astin to express regret for Wood’s absence on a memorable night. In jest, Wood teased Astin about neglecting to retrieve his statue, to which Astin humorously suggested it might have found its way onto an eBay enthusiast’s shelf or met its fate in a Marie Kondo-inspired decluttering spree, perhaps even being tossed into a fire.

The banter concluded with Wood vowing to secure his gift bag for the evening, to which Astin genially conceded.

During their presentation, Geena Davis reassured Jeff Goldblum regarding their film ‘The Fly’ not receiving nominations for awards like ‘Outstanding Motion Picture Ensemble.’ Goldblum expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition for their cast, including Davis and director David Cronenberg.

Davis, however, pointed out that during the film’s premiere, the SAG Awards did not exist, providing context for the absence of such recognition during that time.
