‘The Crow’: Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs Bring in a Chilling Revival

Finally, the much-awaited teaser for ‘The Crow’ has surfaced. Bill Skarsgård plays Eric, a resurrected vengeful soul out to exact revenge for the murders of both himself and his fiancée, played by FKA Twigs.

Thirty years have passed since Brandon Lee’s tragic death during the production of the 1994 film, which is being remade. Both versions are based on the 1989 graphic novel by James O’Barr. The plot centres on Eric’s quest to avenge the brutal killings of both himself and his beloved, travelling into both the living and dead worlds to make amends.

The cast also includes Danny Huston, Isabella Wei, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, and Jordan Bolger in addition to Skarsgård and Twigs. Along with Samuel Hadida and Ed Pressman, the producers of the first film, Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, and William Schneider, the film is directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Zach Baylin and William Schneider.

Thinking back on the legacy of the original movie and its star, Sanders acknowledged the tragedy of Brandon Lee’s passing while expressing admiration for his portrayal of the Crow.

He underlined that the new adaptation is fundamentally an extension of Lee’s spirit.
