‘The Looney Tunes’ is returning to the big screen with a new adventure. According to Deadline, Ketchup Entertainment has secured the rights to distribute ‘The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie’. Although the official release date hasn’t been announced, this development is an exciting update for a film originally slated for streaming.
It’s important to note that ‘The Day the Earth Blew Up’ is a separate project from ‘Coyote vs. Acme’, a Looney Tunes production that Warner Bros. shelved last year.

‘The Day the Earth Blew Up’ will feature Daffy Duck and Porky Pig as they uncover a sinister alien invasion plot. Both characters will once again be voiced by Eric Bauza, a seasoned actor in the franchise.
The film also includes Petunia Pig, and the trio will pause their bubblegum factory jobs to take on zombies and aliens, showcasing the classic comedic charm that has made Looney Tunes a beloved staple for decades. Directed by Pete Browngardt, who has extensive experience in the animation industry with shows like ‘Steven Universe’ and ‘Adventure Time’, the movie promises to be one of the biggest adventures for Daffy and Porky.
The film will also see the return of voice talents like Candi Milo as Petunia Pig and Fred Tatasciore as a scientist, alongside Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, and Laraine Newman. Together, they set the stage for Daffy, Porky, and Petunia to save the world from an alien takeover.
