‘The Witcher’ Confirmed to End With Season 5

‘The Witcher”s official X account, formerly known as Twitter, made an exciting announcement as the cast gathered for a table read to kick off production on the fourth season. They revealed that the show has been given the green light for a fifth and final season, bringing the epic saga to a satisfying close.

The statement signed off with a promise to meet fans “on The Continent.” While this news marks a proper conclusion for the Netflix series, the journey to this point hasn’t been without its challenges. Back in October 2022, lead actor Henry Cavill, famous for his role as Geralt of Rivia, took to Instagram to announce his departure after the third season.

In his heartfelt post, the 40-year-old actor expressed gratitude for his time as Geralt, acknowledging the highs and lows of his adventures. He also extended his best wishes to Liam Hemsworth, who would be taking over the role for the upcoming fourth season.

Hemsworth confirmed the news on his own Instagram, expressing his excitement to step into the shoes of the iconic monster hunter. He praised Cavill’s portrayal of Geralt and acknowledged the weight of the role he was inheriting.

Before diving into filming for the new season, Hemsworth shared a gym selfie, showcasing his dedication to the physically demanding role. With a tank top and Adidas sweatpants, he flexed his muscles in front of the workout equipment, captioning the photo with a cheeky “#legday.”

In addition to his new role in ‘The Witcher,’ Hemsworth took a moment to thank fans for their support of his recent action-thriller, ‘Land of Bad,’ which hit theatres in February.
