Third Man Records and 4AD to Host Christmas Record Fair in London

London will host an independent Christmas record fair next month, with renowned labels 4AD and Third Man Records among the key participants.

The event, announced on November 28 via 4AD’s X account, will take place on December 8 at Omeara in central London. Running from 12 PM to 6 PM, the fair is free to attend and promises an exciting line-up featuring live music, DJ sets, rare vinyl, and drinks. Visitors can explore stalls from a variety of independent labels and shops.

Alongside 4AD and Third Man Records, other participating labels include Chess Club Records, Speedy Wunderground, Erased Tapes, Partisan Records, So Young Records, Drag City, State51, and Sonic Cathedral. Record shops such as Rough Trade Records, Dash The Henge, and Honest Jon’s will also be present, joined by lifestyle brands Arkive and Unified Goods, and jewellery retailer Tatty Devine.

Third Man Records, founded in 2001 by Jack White with Ben Blackwell and Ben Swank, operates locations in Nashville, Detroit, and London. In July, the label surprised lucky customers at its stores by slipping unannounced copies of Jack White’s solo album No Name into their purchases.

4AD, established in 1980 by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent, became a defining label of the 1980s, supporting artists like Cocteau Twins, Bauhaus, Pixies, and the Watts-Russell project This Mortal Coil.

This festive record fair is set to celebrate independent music culture, offering a vibrant mix of sounds, rare finds, and holiday cheer for attendees.
