“I’ve just started my next movie, my next Marvel movie, ‘Thunderbolts,'” Pugh shared with Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve been shooting that.”

Pugh joins a stellar lineup of returning MCU stars for the movie, including Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen and Olga Kurylenko. Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts boasts a screenplay crafted by Joanna Calo, Lee Sung Jin and Eric Pearson.

After a few date adjustments, ‘Thunderbolts’ is now scheduled to hit theatres on 2nd May 2025. Its release date was initially set for later in the year, but recent changes saw ‘Thunderbolts’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ swapping release dates.

However, ‘Thunderbolts’ faced some casting changes due to delays caused by last year’s strikes. Steven Yeun, originally cast as Sentry, had to withdraw from the movie due to scheduling conflicts. He was replaced by Lewis Pullman from ‘Top Gun Maverick.’

Similarly, Ayo Edibiri, cast in an undisclosed role, had to step down from ‘Thunderbolts.’ She was replaced by Geraldine Viswanathan from ‘Drive-Away Dolls’ and ‘Miracle Workers.’
