Timothée Chalamet Reacts to Joining MCU or DCU: "No Superhero Movies"

Timothée Chalamet, the rising star of Hollywood, is gearing up to captivate audiences with his upcoming movie, 'Dune.' His promotional efforts have been widespread, as he navigates his way through the entertainment circuit. Being one of Tinseltown's youngest sensations, fans eagerly anticipate his performance.

While there were whispers of Chalamet possibly donning the 'Spider-Man' suit, many have been curious to see if he'd venture into the realm of superheroes. Shedding light on this speculation, Chalamet recently shared some wisdom imparted to him by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio regarding superhero flicks.

During a chat with The NY Times, the 'Dune 2' star touched upon the current landscape of superhero movies when asked about his potential interest in such roles. Chalamet made it clear that he's steered clear of the superhero genre, influenced by DiCaprio's advice.

"Well, Leonardo DiCaprio said to me, 'No superhero movies, no hard drugs.' Which I thought was very good. I follow them both!" remarked the actor. With the superhero genre facing scrutiny over box office performance, there's talk in the industry about superhero fatigue, and Chalamet seems content staying away from it.

However, while Chalamet is intentionally avoiding superhero projects, he remains open to the idea of exploring the genre someday. He confessed that Christopher Nolan’s 'The Dark Knight' was the movie that ignited his passion for acting. "But the movie that made me want to act is a superhero movie, The Dark Knight. If the script was great, if the director was great, I’d have to consider it," explained Timothée Chalamet.

The 'Wonka' star hinted that he would contemplate a superhero role if it came with a stellar screenplay and director at the helm.
