In a creative and surprising move, Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet has put an end to months of internet rumours that connected him to the enigmatic British rapper EsDeeKid, a masked musician whose identity had been suggested to be the A-list actor himself. Rather than making a straightforward declaration, Chalamet unveiled an unexpected musical partnership—a remix of EsDeeKid's song '4 Raws' with his own verse—that not only dispels the notions of an alter identity but also skillfully relates to his current promotions for his much awaited movie 'Marty Supreme.'

Collab Release and Rumour Rundown

For weeks, social media was buzzing with quirky conjecture that Timothée Chalamet might be Moonlighting as the masked British rapper EsDeeKid, thanks to perceived similarities in appearance and fan attempts to link the two online. As fans pointed to EsDeeKid's hidden visage and Chalamet's own love of hip-hop, the mystery grew, and some fans went crazy with the notion that the 'Marty Supreme' star was concealing a secret musical identity.

Chalamet and EsDeeKid jointly released '4 Raws (Remix),' a surprise release published on social media that includes Chalamet rapping with the still-masked British rapper, on 19th December, officially puts an end to much of that speculation. Chalamet and EsDeeKid are seen in the humorous video removing a portion of their face covering in order to rap strong, self-referential bars, demonstrating that they are two distinct artists working together rather than a single alter ego.

In addition to shout-outs to Chalamet's fiancée Kylie Jenner and a playful reference to his previous rap moniker, "Lil' Timmy Tim," the remix include lines about Chalamet's life in the spotlight, including Oscars and groupies. These details showed both self-awareness and a sense of humour about the entire situation, embracing the moment rather than dismissing it outright.

'Marty Supreme' Promotion and Broader Context

The collaboration's timing isn't coincidental. Many saw the rap release as part of a bigger plan to connect people outside of typical press events. It coincides with Chalamet's massive advertising push for 'Marty Supreme,' his most recent feature, which is scheduled for release on 25th December, 2025. Chalamet even makes direct references to 'Marty Supreme' in the remix, utilizing the song as a creative outlet and a marketing tool that blurs the lines between pop culture involvement and movie promotion.

His participation in the song also reflects Chalamet's continued passion for music, something he has discussed in previous interviews, and shows that he isn't scared to use unusual methods to engage with fans. The remix has received millions of views and sparked conversations about how contemporary celebrities might deal with rumours and media narratives as a result of the lighthearted, genre-bending approach.

While the EsDeeKid speculation may now be largely laid to rest, Chalamet's jump into rap has opened up new conversations about celebrity creativity, promotional innovation, and how artists today can tap into multiple facets of entertainment to tell their story.
