Tom Cruise Shows Off Toned Abs in Los Angeles

Tom Cruise appears to have settled on a new, legendary location for his famous stunt work. The 61-year-old actor was seen scaling the famous landmark at the Hollywood Sign in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles over the weekend while accompanied by a film crew.

Cruise wore an all-black outfit for the photo shoot, which included a t-shirt, jeans, and shoes. At one point, he showed off his well-toned abs by taking off his shirt. Cruise's status as an action star has been solidified by his association with risk-taking stunts, especially from his enduring role in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series.

Although specifics regarding the filming project are still unknown, a spokesperson for Cruise did not immediately reply to a query from PEOPLE on Monday. ‘Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning’, the seventh film in the series, which starred Cruise as Ethan Hunt, made a big box office impact and received two nominations for the 96th Academy Awards. This was Cruise's most recent on-screen appearance.

The title of the upcoming ‘Mission: Impossible’ episode has not yet been revealed. Apart from this, Cruise is working on several other projects, such as a film with Alejandro G. Iñárritu and a film called ‘Top Gun 3’, which he is developing with Joseph Kosinski.

Additionally, Cruise has been preparing a space-themed film for a while; Doug Liman will be directing the film, which was first revealed by NASA in 2020. According to Universal Pictures executive Donna Langley, cruise wants to be the "first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the [International] Space Station" as part of this project.

In a July 2023 interview with Variety, Cruise stated, "We've been working on it diligently," even though specifics are still unknown.
