Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Home Burgled, Reports Claim
The home of beloved actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson was recently burgled. Police confirmed the incident occurred a few weeks ago and is part of a larger trend of home burglaries in Southern California.
The thieves managed to break into the guest house, but thankfully, the main house remained secure. At the time of the burglary, the couple was out of town. Authorities believe the burglary was not a targeted attack against the couple specifically. As of now, no arrests have been made.

This incident is believed to be the work of organised groups that have been targeting upscale neighbourhoods in the area for several years. These criminals often use social media to track celebrities’ whereabouts, taking advantage of publicised schedules and events to find opportune moments for their crimes.
In other news, Tom and Rita’s son, Chet Hanks, has opened up about his struggles growing up in the shadow of his famous parents. In a candid conversation with his MTV ‘Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets’ co-stars, Chet revealed that contrary to popular belief, his childhood was far from glamorous.
“People think that being Tom Hanks’ son would make me feel special, but it was quite the opposite,” he said. “I actually grew up feeling completely worthless.” He emphasised that his feelings weren’t due to his parents, but rather the way he was treated by peers and strangers.
Chet described how people often assumed he felt superior because of his family’s fame, which wasn’t the case. “I just wanted to be friends with everybody and be treated like everyone else,” he shared. The constant scrutiny and assumptions took a toll on him, leaving him to navigate a complex emotional landscape.
