Tom Holland and Zendaya Get Matching Tattoos Before Engagement

Prior to becoming engaged, Tom Holland and Zendaya went one step further in their love by getting matching tattoos.

Last year in November, the 28-year-old pair went to Boston Tattoo Company on Newbury Street to have their initials customized. Lily Jarnryd, a tattoo artist who worked on the duo, expressed how much joy it was to work with them, calling them beautiful. Holland got a subtle “z” tattooed on his ribs, while Zendaya got a tiny “t” under her armpit.

After appearing together for the first time in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2017, Holland and Zendaya made their relationship public in 2021. The couple’s engagement was officially announced on 6th January. According to TMZ, Holland proposed at a family member’s house during the holidays.

When Zendaya was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the 2025 Golden Globes, she made a glamorous appearance. Wearing a custom strapless dress by Louis Vuitton in burnt orange satin and matching shoes, she looked stunning on the red carpet. She enhanced the occasion by accessorizing her ring finger with a gorgeous 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond button-back ring by Jessica McCormack, which was featured in the designer’s engagement section on their website.

An insider said that Holland has always been smitten with Zendaya and has known she was “the one” from the beginning. The engagement was a major turning point in their relationship, and their bond was seen as something genuinely unique.

Marisa Tomei, who co-starred with the couple in ‘Spider-Man’, also congratulated them on Instagram Stories.

Holland and Zendaya talked about their choice to keep their relationship private in a November 2021 interview with GQ, pointing to the difficulties of celebrity. Zendaya echoed Holland’s displeasure at losing control over private times, highlighting the need to preserve some moments when you genuinely care about someone.
