Tom Holland Says Zendaya Gives The “Most Honest” Acting Advice
Tom Holland, the ‘Spider-Man’ actor, recently spilled the beans on the secret sauce of his successful relationship with girlfriend Zendaya; honesty. During a chat at a SAG-AFTRA Foundation event, Holland revealed that Zendaya is his go-to person for unfiltered truths.
“Zendaya is probably the most honest with me, which I love because you need that,” shared Holland, praising his girlfriend’s straightforward approach. The actor, who met Zendaya on the set of the ‘Spider-Man’ films, also acknowledged the candid feedback he receives from other trusted advisors in the industry, including Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch.
“Downey is very honest – sometimes a little too honest,” quipped Holland, showcasing his appreciation for Downey’s straightforward opinions. “I really respect Downey’s opinion. He taught me so much, that I always sing his praises. I love the guy. I admire him.” Holland also highlighted Cumberbatch’s role as a frequent source of acting advice.

No surprises here – Holland didn’t hesitate to name-drop Zendaya before acknowledging his ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ co-stars. Since the public confirmation of their romance in July 2021, the couple has gradually opened up about their relationship. Initially, they opted for a low-profile approach, a decision that stemmed from their shared preference for privacy in their personal lives.
“Zendaya and Tom really did their best to keep their romance under wraps when they first started dating,” spilled an insider in June. “Before they began seeing each other, they had both always been very private when it came to their personal lives. It was something that bonded them in the early stages of their relationship because they were both on the same page when it came to avoiding public speculation.”

However, as time went by, the couple decided that it was futile to hide their love when it was already an open secret. “That has shifted over time, and they acknowledge that everyone knows they’re together,” the source continued. “So Tom is proud to call Zendaya his girlfriend and express how much he loves her because he wants the world to know.”
Holland’s public declaration of love for Zendaya during a June interview further solidified their status. “I’m locked up, so I’m happy and in love. So, I’ve got no need for rizz,” he casually remarked, using the slang term for “charisma” when discussing flirting.
On a different note, Holland’s recent triumph came with the success of his film ‘Uncharted,’ which dominated the film chart on Netflix UK. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the action-adventure flick, based on the popular PlayStation video game franchise, follows Holland’s character, Nathan Drake, in a thrilling race against adversaries to locate the fabled treasure of the Magellan expedition.
