Travis Barker Reveals His Joy of Becoming a Dad Again at 48: “Just as Good as I Remembered”

In an exclusive interview, ‘Blink-182’ drummer Travis Barker opened up about adjusting to parenthood with his 8-month-old son Rocky, whom he welcomed with wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker.

"The most wonderful thing you could do at any time in your life is have a baby or bring a human being into this world," says Barker. He explained that he got a "crash course" in parenting with his stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, who came into his life as an infant. He adds that he "learned so much" from the births of his daughter, Alabama Luella Barker, and son, Landon Barker, "because they were born really close to each other."

With Rocky, Barker says, "It's just as good as I remembered it." He expresses his deep love for being a dad, describing it as his favourite accomplishment and the best thing he gets to do every day.

Barker, who will host his Run Travis Run events in Los Angeles and Queens, New York, even recalled his reaction to finding out he was having Landon. "The day I found out, I left my house and I ran to the freeway," he says. "It was four miles, and then I ran four miles back, too." This news inspired him to be the best version of himself, focusing on health and self-care, a mindset that has stayed with him.

Kourtney and Travis welcomed Rocky with great joy. An insider shared that the reality TV star was "over the moon about her son's arrival." Her pregnancy had taken a stressful turn towards the end, making the arrival of their baby boy even more special and blessed.

Kourtney also faced a terrifying scare during her pregnancy, which she shared in a confessional on 'The Kardashians.' "A couple of months ago, we had a terrifying scare where I had to have emergency fetal surgery," she revealed. Baby Rocky required surgery for fluid in his lung, a rare condition they were fortunate to catch. Kourtney expressed immense gratitude for the successful surgery, feeling incredibly blessed and thankful.
