Travis Kelce Says He Can’t Attend The Grammys With Taylor Swift: “I Wish I Could”

Travis Kelce remains locked in on the Kansas City Chiefs’ pursuit of consecutive Super Bowl triumphs. Despite his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, snagging six Grammy Award nominations for the upcoming event, the NFL star won’t be making it to the annual show.

During an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Kelce expressed his desire to support Swift at the Grammys, saying, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys, and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for.” However, he playfully slipped in, “But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday.”

Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end, wasn’t certain about the team’s practice schedule leading up to the Super Bowl but explained that his commitment to preparing for the big game made attending the awards show impractical. “Unfortunately, I’ve gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week,” he added on the show.

Speculation had arisen among fans regarding the possibility of Kelce accompanying Swift to the Grammys, especially since the ‘Lover’ singer had supported him at the AFC Championship win in Baltimore the previous Sunday, and the awards show was scheduled just before the Super Bowl.

While Kelce and Swift couldn’t make it to the Grammys together, they did share a public display of support on Sunday, sparking a frenzy on the internet. Their on-field celebration, featuring kisses and Kelce declaring, “I love you,” became a highlight.

Despite the gruelling practices, Kelce will have Swift by his side. The insider noted, “It’s obvious, isn’t it? They’re genuinely happy together. She’s there to support him and cheer him on, and she fits in seamlessly with everyone he loves.”
