Travis Kelce Shares Taylor Swift’s Reaction to Jason Kelce’s Shirtless Celebration at The Game
Taylor Swift has earned herself a dedicated fan in the form of Jason Kelce, according to revelations made by Travis Kelce, the younger brother of the NFL player. During a discussion on their ‘New Heights’ podcast episode released Travis disclosed that Taylor was particularly fond of Jason, despite his rather exuberant behaviour at a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game.
This memorable encounter marked the first time Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, had the opportunity to meet Taylor in person.
Reflecting on his spirited antics during the game, Jason admitted to giving Kylie a warning about his intention to strip off his shirt in celebration of the Chiefs’ victory. However, Kylie, who happens to be a Philadelphia Eagles player, had hoped for a more subdued demeanour from Jason, especially in the presence of Taylor. Despite Kylie’s reservations, Taylor reportedly embraced Jason’s lively personality, endearing herself even further to the football player and his family.
“She was already telling me to be on my best behaviour ’cause we were meeting Taylor,” Jason said. “So she’s like, ‘Be on your best behaviour.’ I was like, ‘Kylie, the first day I met you I was blacked out drunk and fell asleep at the bar.’ This is part of the charm. This is part of the Jason Kelce charm. I want to make my best first impression. This is my best chance. Set that bar nice and low.”
Travis erupted into hearty laughter upon hearing Jason’s remarks, confirming the positive impression Taylor Swift had left on her boyfriend’s brother. “Well, Tay said she absolutely loved you,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end disclosed, adding further credence to Taylor’s warm reception of Jason during their interaction.
Jason unquestionably made a lasting impression when he encountered Taylor at the Chiefs playoffs game. Beyond his attention-grabbing act of shirtlessness in the chilly weather, the father-of-two went the extra mile by descending from the suite to hoist a young “Swiftie” named Ella Piazza, allowing Taylor to catch sight of her poster.
Ella later shared her exhilarating experience with a local news station, WHEC, disclosing that Taylor waved to her from the suite. “Taylor smiled and gestured with her hand. I felt shocked and happy at the same time,” Ella recounted, reflecting the overwhelming joy of the moment.
