Trevor Noah Says He Got a ‘Random Call’ from Jennifer Lopez to Appear in Her New Movie

Trevor Noah recently found himself in a rather unexpected situation when he received a call from none other than Jennifer Lopez. The South African comedian is set to make a cameo in Lopez’s upcoming Prime Video musical film, ‘This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.’

In an interview, Noah shared his disbelief at the seemingly random call from Lopez. “That was a random call where your phone rings and it’s Jennifer Lopez, and you’re like, ‘This must be a prank,'” he said. “And she wants you to come and do a cameo in her visual experience, and you’re like, ‘Whoa. I mean, I don’t know what I’m doing, but OK, I’ll join in.'”

Lopez recently unveiled the trailer for the film, set to release alongside her new album on 16th Feb. The trailer takes viewers through dreamscapes and real challenges as the ‘Jenny from the Block’ singer seeks love.

The star-studded cast includes not only Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck but also celebrities such as Fat Joe, Kim Petras, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Jenifer Lewis, Jay Shetty, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Sadhguru, Derek Hough and more.

Noah expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting the diverse group of individuals who came together to celebrate an icon who has “blazed her own trail across different genres.” Despite being part of the film, Noah admitted to not knowing much about it, as the production team was secretive about the process. “I too am waiting to see what it’s going to be,” he said.
