Universal Acquires Lil Nas X’s Documentary ‘Long Live Montero’

‘Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero’ is a cinematic journey directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Carlos López Estrada (‘Billie Eilish: When the Party’s Over’) and collaborator Zac Manuel. This documentary delves into the life of the Grammy-winning artist as he embarks on his inaugural world tour.

Scheduled for international digital release, the film offers an unparalleled glimpse into Lil Nas X’s personal and professional realms. It serves as an intimate portrait, chronicling his experiences with identity, family dynamics, societal expectations and the quest for acceptance, all within the context of his role as a Black, queer performer.
