Directed by John Krasinski, who also stars in the films alongside Emily Blunt, ‘A Quiet Place’ has captivated audiences with its unique approach to horror. The Halloween Horror Nights adaptation will bring this eerie, post-apocalyptic world to life, complete with extraterrestrial creatures that hunt by sound. Guests will navigate iconic locations from the films, including the Abbott family’s shelter and the root cellar where Evelyn Abbott (played by Blunt) gave birth in silence.

Universal Studios promises an experience that mirrors the films’ suspenseful atmosphere. “Mirroring the silence in the films, the haunted houses will embrace unique sound design, special effects, and the adept performances of the scare actors to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films,” according to a press release from the Studios.

In a nod to the films’ authentic portrayal of a family navigating a world where sound can be deadly, American Sign Language (ASL) will be integrated into the haunted house experience. This inclusion aims to enhance the realism and intensity of the event, offering a more immersive and inclusive experience for all guests.

The announcement of the Halloween Horror Nights attraction comes just weeks before the highly anticipated release of ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’. The prequel, starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn from ‘Stranger Things’, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, and Denis O’Hare, explores the initial invasion of the creatures and the ensuing chaos in New York City.

As guests make their way through the haunted houses, the terrifying “snarls” of the creatures will heighten the suspense. Any noise could attract these deadly beings, adding a layer of interactive horror that fans of the franchise are sure to appreciate.

With its unique blend of silence and suspense, the ‘A Quiet Place’ themed Halloween Horror Nights is set to be a standout attraction this year. Fans of the films and horror enthusiasts alike can look forward to a night of unforgettable terror and excitement at Universal Studios.
