‘Venom 3: The Last Dance’ Trailer: Tom Hardy Meets His Most Powerful Foe Yet

Sony Pictures has just dropped the first trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ marking the final chapter for Tom Hardy’s anti-hero in the Marvel universe. While the future of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe post-2024 is still up in the air, this film sets the stage for a dramatic conclusion to the story that kickstarted the franchise. Hardy’s portrayal of Venom has been pivotal, and this upcoming movie promises to wrap up his journey.

With only a few months left before its release, the trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ has finally hit Twitter and YouTube. Directed by Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the first two Venom films and this third instalment, the movie is set to arrive on 25th October. Alongside the trailer, Sony has shared the first official synopsis, shedding light on the plot.

In ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ Tom Hardy reprises his role as Venom, one of Marvel’s most beloved and complex characters. Eddie and Venom find themselves on the run, pursued by enemies from both their worlds. As the net closes in, they face a heart-wrenching decision that will bring their saga to an end.

This final film is building towards Klyntar as the ultimate challenge for Venom. The trailer shows several symbiotes arriving on Earth, likely in a bid to retrieve the Venom symbiote. However, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple, playing a character named Dr. Payne, complicate matters as they aim to keep the existence of symbiotes under wraps.

The film picks up directly after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ potentially creating complications for Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4.’ The trailer reveals that a piece of the Venom symbiote left behind on Earth-616 is captured by Ejiofor’s character, which could mean the black suit storyline won’t be explored in ‘Spider-Man 4.’ This suggests that Ejiofor’s character has found a way to travel between worlds.

A surprising addition to the cast is Rhys Ifans, reprising his role as Dr Curt Connors, also known as The Lizard, from The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ series. The trailer briefly shows him, though it’s unclear if he’s playing a healed Curt or a completely new character. This cameo is especially intriguing following the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’
