Victoria Monét Ditches The Governors Ball and More Due to Health Problems: ‘I am Gutted’

The talented ‘Jaguar’ artist took to her Instagram Stories recently to share heartfelt news with her fans. She expressed deep regret in announcing that her scheduled appearances at several prominent festivals, including Governors Ball in NYC, Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, and the Blavity House Party Music Festival in Nashville, will no longer proceed as planned.

In her candid message, Monét revealed that she has been grappling with ongoing health challenges that require immediate attention.

Despite the difficult decision to cancel these performances, she reassured her followers that she would return to the stage soon, emphasising her commitment to delivering memorable experiences. While these June festivals are no longer on her itinerary, Monét assured fans that her other summer shows, such as the Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C., Lollapalooza in Chicago, and the 

Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, are still scheduled to take place as planned. She concluded her announcement by expressing gratitude for the understanding and support of her fans, promising to reunite with them soon.

Monét’s festival cancellations come amidst a remarkable year for her career, highlighted by the success of her Grammy-winning album, Jaguar II. This acclaimed project earned her five nominations at the 2024 BET Awards, including nods for album of the year, best female R&B/pop artist, and video of the year for her chart-topping song ‘On My Mama.’

Recently, Monét celebrated her three Grammy wins as her coveted gramophones arrived, symbolising her hard-earned achievements. Reflecting on this moment, she shared a touching Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the journey that led her to these accolades and inspiring others to pursue their dreams with dedication, passion, and gratitude.
