Speculation began with a trailer released in June 2024, which showed a pair of legs in a suit similar to Deadpool’s, while Ryan Reynolds, voicing the titular character, says, “I’m about to lose everything that I’ve ever cared about.” The final trailer, released before the film’s July 26, 2024 premiere, revealed a figure with blonde hair wearing a red and black suit like Deadpool’s, fueling rumours that this could be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s introduction of Lady Deadpool.
Theories about Blake Lively, Reynolds’ wife, playing Lady Deadpool intensified after the final trailer. Fans believe Lively could be taking on the role due to the blonde hair and the connection to her husband.

In her dystopian universe, she aligns with various factions to prevent rebellion and combat the cosmic entity Awareness, known for its boundless evil.
Her real name is Wanda Wilson. After becoming a bodyguard for Charles Randolph Fey and joining anti-government forces following his death, Wanda battles cosmic entities, and evil Deadpool variants, and eventually joins the multiversal ‘Deadpool Corps’ led by Wade Wilson.
Lady Deadpool shares many powers with her male counterpart, including rapid healing, near-immortality, and immunity to most poisons, drugs, and diseases. She also has peak human strength, speed, and agility, and is highly skilled in combat and bladed weapons.
Teasers and trailers for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ have hinted at Lady Deadpool’s appearance, with a teaser showing a figure in a Deadpool-like suit, and the final trailer revealing the full suit and blonde hair. Although there’s no official confirmation, director Shawn Levy has suggested that the film will feature numerous cameos and new characters.
