Why Jeremy Allen White Skipped 2025 Golden Globes
The 33-year-old actor’s conspicuous absence from the 2025 Golden Globes left admirers wondering why he did not attend. White, whose performance in ‘The Bear’ earned him the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy award, was unable to attend the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. In order to win, he defeated nominees Adam Brody, Ted Danson, Steve Martin, Jason Segel, and Martin Short.
White’s hectic filming schedule was the cause of his absence. He was working on ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’, a biopic about Bruce Springsteen, on the East Coast. On the ceremony day, a fan encountered the actor on set in New York City, as confirmed by a post on the celebrity gossip website Deux Moi. According to the fan, White was “very sweet” and apologized for missing the Globes, adding he hoped he could have joined his fellow cast members of ‘The Bear’ in celebrating.

Presenter Jennifer Coolidge declared White’s victory and accepted the medal on his behalf at the ceremony. White’s performance as Chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto on the FX series has earned him a Golden Globe for the third time in a row. White has previously thanked his children, Ezer and Dolores, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin, in his award speeches.
With its third season, which premiered in June, receiving as many award nominations as its predecessors, ‘The Bear’ has maintained its reputation for receiving positive reviews from critics. In September, he triumphed at the Emmy Awards and gave the show credit for changing his life. He conveyed his sincere appreciation for his co-stars, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and wished for their continued presence in one other’s life.

In the forthcoming biopic, which delves into the creation of Springsteen’s 1982 record Nebraska, White is currently engrossed in his role as Springsteen. Springsteen, who has been working on the project with his longtime manager Jon Landau, has been a staunch supporter of White. In addition to praising White’s singing skills, Springsteen called him a “terrific actor” who portrayed him in a way that fans would identify with. While all three seasons of ‘The Bear’ are available for streaming on Hulu, ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ is anticipated to debut in 2025.
