Will Smith had some glowing words to share about his colleague, Vanessa Hudgens, particularly highlighting her dedication during the filming of ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die,’ even while she was expecting her first child.

In a recent interview with ETOnline at a screening event for ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die,’ Smith reminisced about collaborating with Hudgens during the making of the fourth instalment in the cherished ‘Bad Boys’ series. Hudgens reprised her role as weapons expert Kelly, first introduced in 2020’s ‘Bad Boys for Life.’

The film’s production encountered delays due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which spanned from July to November that year. Upon resuming filming, Hudgens was already expecting, yet committed to her role on set.

Smith recalled the challenges Hudgens faced performing stunts with her growing baby bump, necessitating adjustments in filming techniques. He praised her work ethic, describing her as a diligent professional who aimed to complete her tasks. Smith reassured her, affirming that her child would one day hear about their shared on-screen moments.

Hudgens announced her pregnancy in March, revealing her baby bump at the 2023 Academy Awards. Speaking to ET, she expressed her excitement about returning to the Bad Boys franchise alongside esteemed actors such as Smith, Martin Lawrence and others. Describing the latest instalment as a timeless tale, she conveyed her enthusiasm for joining the stellar cast.

The film is scheduled for release on 7th June 2024.
