“I think my next goal, both personally and professionally, is touring again and having a good balance of being on the road and at home,” Zayn said, expressing gratitude for his fans’ patience. “I’ve never done a solo tour, and it’s a big step, but I’m ready, and I’m thankful everyone has been so patient. It’s time!”

Back in March, during a live stream and radio show on Stationhead, Zayn had hinted at these plans, saying, “Ummm… yes is the answer. Ummm yeah, I’d be stupid not to.” This was a prelude to his latest album, ‘Room Under the Stairs,’ released on May 17th. This album, marking his return after a two-year hiatus, debuted at number fifteen on the Billboard 200 chart and includes singles like ‘What Am I,’ ‘Alienated’ and ‘Stardust.’

Following the album’s release, Zayn held two concerts in the UK. The first was at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on May 17th, a sold-out event and his first public performance since leaving One Direction in 2015. The second concert took place at Banquet Records Kingston on May 19th, where he performed songs from ‘Room Under the Stairs,’ including hits like ‘My Woman,’ ‘Birds on a Cloud’ and ‘Concrete Kisses.’

At the London concert, Zayn expressed his joy, saying, “I missed this…. This is an exciting night, I’m very grateful to you all, and I hope you have a great night.” Although he hasn’t embarked on a full tour, Zayn did organise a Meet-n-Greet at Rough Trade in New York City on May 21st, where he performed a small set and interacted with fans.
