‘Yellowstone’ Gears Up for Final Episode, Season 5 Resumes in November

The acclaimed Western drama ‘Yellowstone’ is set to conclude with the filming of its final episodes for season five, which began recently. Fans can expect the series to wrap up in November 2024.

After captivating audiences for several years, ‘Yellowstone’ is preparing for its final curtain call. The production of the concluding episodes of season five is underway, and they are slated to premiere in November 2024.

The much-anticipated final episodes are being filmed in Montana. The first part of season five, which included eight episodes, aired between November 2022 and January 2023. The concluding six episodes will be available exclusively on the Paramount Network starting in November.

Production had faced delays due to the Hollywood shutdown caused by writers’ and actors’ strikes. Additionally, Kevin Costner, a central figure in the series, will be exiting ‘Yellowstone’ to focus on a new project, ‘Horizon,’ his epic western series. The first part of ‘Horizon’ is scheduled for release in June 2024, followed by the second part in August.

‘Yellowstone,’ starring Luke Grimes and Kevin Costner, centres on John Dutton and his family’s struggle to protect their massive Montana ranch from land developers, a neighbouring tribe, and other threats. The show has been a major hit, with the premiere of the first half of season five drawing over 12.1 million viewers.

Paramount has greenlit two spin-offs within the ‘Yellowstone’ universe: ‘1944,’ set in the post-World War II era, and a contemporary series titled 2024.’ Since their announcement in November 2023, further details have been scarce. However, some crossover characters are anticipated, although new cast members and locations for 2024 remain unconfirmed.
