Zach Bryan Teases Collabs With Bruce Springsteen And John Mayer on Upcoming Album

Zach Bryan’s forthcoming album is set to take listeners on a journey through ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ and he’s bringing some pretty famous friends along for the ride. According to an Instagram post shared by the ‘Something in the Orange’ singer, his newest body of work will feature special collaborations with Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer, as well as a Bryan Adams sample.

“I wrote and produced all of these with the help of some truly great friends. I finally felt like It’s making music again,” Bryan shared in a handwritten note as a part of the post. In the fine print at the bottom of the image, it’s mentioned that Springsteen appears on the project courtesy of his label, Columbia Records.

The song ‘The Way Back’ is listed as containing elements from the written work ‘Heaven’ by Adams and his songwriting partner, Jim Vallance. Further vocal sampling contributions from the ‘Summer of 69’ creators appear on the song ‘Bass Boat’.

Likewise, Bryan and Springsteen’s collaborative effort on the album likely refers to the unreleased track ‘Sandpaper’, which the pair performed together at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in March, per footage shared by the arena on Instagram.

Prior to that performance, Bryan performed ‘Sandpaper’ live for the first time as a solo effort at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., Springsteen’s home state. Just two months later in the Big Apple, Bryan and Springsteen took to the stage together alongside ‘Alaska’ singer Maggie Rogers at Madison Square Garden to perform Bryan’s hit song ‘Revival’.

Bryan and his girlfriend Brianna “Chickenfry” Lapaglia have openly shown their love for the ‘Glory Days’ hitmaker in recent months, with Bryan frequently donning a “United States Vs. Bruce Springsteen” hat in videos shared on social media.
