Zendaya Calls People Constantly Asking About Kissing Her Co-Stars “Weird”

Zendaya has expressed her bewilderment at the constant questioning about her on-screen kisses with male co-stars during interviews.

The actress, currently promoting her latest movie ‘Challengers,’ discussed the issue during an appearance on the ‘Jake’s Takes’ podcast, where host Jake Hamilton brought up the “unusual amount of attention” on her kissing scenes.

“I have no idea. I don’t know if it’s because they want it to be, like, a viral thing, I don’t know. But I have noticed that, with me specifically,” Zendaya remarked.

“I feel like other actors don’t… if it was somebody else here, you probably wouldn’t [have] asked that question. But yeah, it is a part of my job and it is a completely normal part of the job despite, I think, maybe other people’s perception of our job. But yeah, it is odd.”

“Thank you for bringing that up, because I thought the same thing,” she added. “I’m like, this is weird! This is weird!”

‘Challengers,’ directed by Luca Guadagnino (known for ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Bones and All’), revolves around a gripping love triangle involving tennis coach Tashi Duncan (Zendaya) and rival players Patrick Zweig (Josh O’Connor) and Art Donaldson (Mike Faist). The film is set to release on 26th April.
