Why Salma Hayek Chose Not to Sign a Prenup With Billionaire François-Henri Pinault
Salma Hayek, who has always been open about her life, recently revealed a significant part of her marriage to Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault. When Hayek and Pinault got married in 2009, they didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement, according to an interview with The Wall Street Journal. She explained that she finances many parts of her life and relishes the challenge of earning her own money, underscoring her dedication to financial independence and the significance of accumulating her own fortune. Hayek even said she wanted to make more money.
Pinault has a net worth of $21.8 billion, yet the pair keeps their funds apart even though his firm owns well-known luxury labels like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Saint Laurent. Hayek is able to focus on her own financial achievement as a result. She is motivated to try new things and takes pride in her accomplishments on her own. Hayek is even more driven to look into business options now that her daughter Valentina, 17, is getting close to adulthood, pointing out that Pinault finds her desire admirable.

In addition to her acting career, Hayek has established a prosperous producing business and is still quite active in charitable work. The Kering Foundation, which works to prevent gender-based violence, has had her support for a long time. Her efforts have made the foundation’s yearly dinner for fundraising in New York a well-known occasion, and the most recent one raised $3 million.
Hayek talked about how she loves making her own money and how the thrill comes from not having to worry about money. But being married to a millionaire has changed her social experiences, drawing attention from people in wealthy circles and increasing the number of conversations about wealth.

Despite growing up in an affluent Mexican household, Hayek faced difficulties throughout her early life. Her early years in Hollywood were challenging because her father lost his income shortly after she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Her career took off despite this, and she has consistently had a great work ethic.
For his part, Pinault has greatly increased the size of his company. An important milestone in his broad portfolio, which includes talent management and luxury fashion, was reached in September 2023 when his investment business purchased the majority of Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
