At CinemaCon, the eagerly awaited trailer for ‘Wicked: For Good’ made its debut, providing a sneak peek at the follow-up to the 2024 hit. Director Jon M. Chu and producer Marc Platt joined Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo on stage to unveil the video. Chu praised supporters for their faith in the project, while Erivo reflected on the past year, acknowledging the journey since their last performance at the event.
Despite not being publicly available, rumors highlight significant scenes involving Grande's Glinda and Erivo's Elphaba. Wearing a magnificent tiara that Madame Horrible (Michelle Yeoh) and the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) gave her, Glinda declares her intense desire for Elphaba's return, acknowledging that she is still alive.
Soaring on her broom, Elphaba—who has become an outcast after the events of the first movie—leaves a potent message in the sky: "Our wizard lies." In addition, the teaser promises Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion making a fleeting appearance, as well as Glinda's marriage to Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey).

Grande discussed Glinda's journey before revealing the video, saying that to fully comprehend what it means to be Glinda the Good, she must face her reflection. To further engross viewers in the ‘Wicked’ universe, the trailer also includes brief clips of the songs ‘No Good Deed’ and ‘For Good’.
Additionally, Erivo disclosed that she co-wrote an original song for ‘Wicked: For Good’, calling it a very important experience. She reported that the entire team was moved to tears when the moment was taped. She believes that listeners will be prepared for a song that embodies Elphaba's personality.
Part Two has become much more relevant in today's culture, according to director Chu, who has alluded to the film's potent themes. He said that the film was even more powerful than first thought since it was a deep investigation of truth and the effects of decisions.
On 21st November, 2025, ‘Wicked: For Good’ is scheduled to open in theaters.
