Greenbaum shared, “We just wanted to capture a conversation between two friends and bring it down to that level that hopefully the audience can listen to me stumble my way through asking my dear friend these questions.” He added, “She allows me to make those mistakes and encourages me to ask away.”

As Greenbaum continued, the audience, including Ferrell, became teary-eyed. The director expressed his affection for both Ferrell and Harper Steele, emphasising the gift of showcasing their friendship on screen.

“I have such a love for him; for both of these people, it was a gift that I got to express it in a film,” Greenbaum said. He further noted, “I just hope [Ferrell] continues to get all the love that he deserves. Because he’s put so much good out in the world.”

Ferrell’s response to Greenbaum’s heartfelt speech was a mixture of emotion and humour. He wiped away his tears and quipped, “What’s this Bullshit?” eliciting laughter from the crowd. Before its premiere, the documentary had already been showcased at notable film festivals, including Sundance, Toronto, and Telluride, earning acclaim and building anticipation for its wider release.
