Wiz Khalifa Said He’d go in a ‘VERZUZ’ Battle Against Kid Cudi And Lil Wayne
It’s actually a hypothetical battle! Cameron Thomas, who is known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, named two singers who he thinks will be his ideal opponents in a hypothetical VERZUZ battle. This was recorded in an interview between Khalifa and DJ Superstar Jay where they were talking about the rapper’s previous album ‘Multiverse’. Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Multiverse’ was his seventh solo album that was released in July via Taylor Gang and Asylum as a follow up to ‘Rolling Papers 2’.
He said, “Wayne – I think that would be really fun. Because Wayne’s a really dope performer, so it’s like, me and him going back and forth, performing bangers – that s**t would be hard. I think that would be more like a concert than a VERZUZ.” With regards to Kid Cudi, he noted, “he’s somebody who is like me… We’ve got a multifaceted audience, and then he’s got some classic, like, core stuff – the same way that I do.”
Wiz Khalifa has had a crazy year in 2021 with the release of ‘Taylor Cinema’ EP, linking up with Sledgren and Cardo for ‘Wiz Got Wings’, collaborating with DJ DaddyKat for a mixtape, and more. ‘Multiverse’ came out in July 2022, and before that he was working with Juicy J, Smoke DZA, Big K.R.I.T. and Girl Talk for various projects including ‘Stoner’s Night’ and ‘Full Court Press’.
Previously, Khalifa has also made history by releasing the first ever song on an Oreo Cookie in 2019. Along with this, he also kept active in the TV world with roles in ‘Dickinson’ and ‘Duncanville’. His acting career is off the roof too; his next film role is expected to be in ‘Spinning Gold’, which is a movie based on the Casablanca Records of ‘60s and ‘70s.
