Ye Takes a Break From Instagram!

Ye has deactivated his Instagram account. He took to the social media platform to share a screenshot of the Instagram deactivation page. The screenshot had the confirmation of temporarily removing his account ready to be submitted. Right after he made the announcement, the account was deactivated.

Ye has had a rough relationship with Instagram over the past few years. He was suspended for 24 hours after indulging in hate speech, bullying and harassment. After this event, he repeatedly posted racial slurs along with a screenshot of Trevor Noah’s Google page. He dedicated multiple posts to Pete Davidson, who was then dating Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. He often referred to Pete as ‘Skete’ and wrote that he “will get my kids’ mom hooked on d**gs. He’s in rehab every 2 months.”

Ye posted antisemitic remarks and was suspended yet again last year. He returned in March to declare that after watching Jonah Hill’s performance in ‘21 Jump Street’, he “likes Jewish people again”.
