Zayn Malik Has Things To Say About The Grammys

Zayn Malik is siding with everyone who thinks that the Grammys are doing something really wrong. Just five days before the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, the singer has taken to his Twitter account to express his anger.

Zayn Malik thinks the voting process of the Grammy Awards is twisted because the only way one can be nominated is if they’re being nice to the people associated with it.

Zayn tweets, “F— the grammys and everyone associated. Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there’s no nomination considerations. Next year I’ll send you a basket of confectionary.”

How Does The Nomination Process Work?

The Recording Academy had cleared out the nomination process, sometime back. Each category is reviewed, nomination review committees are presented with an alphabetical list of the top vote-getters by rank-and-file voters. They then listen, discuss and vote. Their votes alone determine the final nominations. Pretty fair, uh?

So why is the music industry slightly doubting the process? Only time will tell if these artists actually figure it out and especially, Zayn Malik. Anyhow, the Grammy Awards will air live on March 14, 2021, at 8 p.m ET/5 p.m PT on CBS. Watch out!
