BTS wins awards…and hearts!

BTS has pulled it off yet again at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in Nagoya, Japan! One of the biggest music makers of today won big this time leaving their hardcore fans, the BTS Army, with joy and relief beyond belief. ARMY were recently dejected after the K-pop supergroup wasn’t nominated in a single category at the Grammy’s, despite holding the record for the highest selling albums of the year 2019. But hey, all’s well now.

Best Music Video for ‘Boy With Luv’, Best Male Group, Qoo10 Favourite Male Artist, and Album of the Year (Daesang) for ‘Map of the Soul: Persona’, were all bagged by BTS… and they weren’t down there. Further, they also took home Worldwide Icon of the Year (Daesang), Best Collaboration for Lee Sora x BTS Suga, and Best Dance Performance (Male), Worldwide Fans Choice.

Back in 2016 and 2017, they were crowned with Artist of the Year. So, clearly this is not the first time BTS has owned the MAMAs! This incredible award show run also officiated them as the first artists in history to win all four Daesangs at the end of the year award show.

BTS fans have a lot on their plate, with news of a collaboration between Halsey and Suga in Halsey’s third album, Manic, being announced via Twitter on 3rd December. On Tuesday (4th December), the singer teased fans with a release date and finally went on to announce that “Finally // beautiful stranger” and “SUGA’s Interlude” will be released on Dec. 6. She also gave fans a few hints about the sound of the new songs and fans were left in suspense

After their clear sweep at the 2019 awards and the exciting collaboration, and their promise to continue making good music, let’s hope that they never stop winning awards and hearts all the same.
