Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato’s friendship fizzling away is probably the worst thing that happened to the industry, but alas, we have hope of a reunion!

As we all know, Demi stunned audiences world over with her performance of her track “Anyone” at the Grammys, taking the stage for the first time since her overdose in July, 2018. The weight and significance of the moment was felt by anyone who watched it. The track was vulnerable, raw and unflinchingly honest. Along with the out pour of support she received from her fans and colleagues in the industry, one appreciation post stood out to eagle-eyed fans – the one from Selena Gomez.

Gomez posted a story on her Instagram appreciating the importance of Demi’s performance, and had nothing but good things to say.

Their friendship began in their Barney days, and were popular celebrity besties, until they started growing apart. The pair have also faced a fair amount of scrutiny with the press spinning stories about the two throwing shade at each other. Though the reasons for their ups and downs have never been talked about, there’s nothing like some good ol’ female appreciation to keep things positive!
