BTS Reveals New Teasers for Single, ‘Life Goes On’
A new era in BTS’ sonic roster has almost arrived. The seven-member South Korean boy group is slated to release their highly anticipated studio album, “BE”, on the 20th of Nov, Friday. And, along with an 8-track treat, they’ve got a music video on the way. The ‘Dynamite’ singers will star in a music video for the title track, ‘Life Goes On’, directed by the youngest member, Jungkook.
An Era of Wholesomeness
In the run up to the release, BigHit Labels released two teasers for the upcoming track and music video. And, along with a visual tease, fans also got their first listen at the track. The first teaser features the boys feeling the warmth from a group campfire. And, then, the camera follows them into their drawing room, cozied up, watching something. What? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The second visualiser featured individual stills of the members, veiled in a black and white filter. Set to melodic, acoustic riffs of the upcoming track, ‘Life Goes On’, the teasers fill viewers up with warmth. Making a sharp turn away from their characteristically dark, intense and explorative themes, the upcoming album promises introspection and newer music styles.
What Will it “Be”?
And, if their hit single, ‘Dynamite’, is anything to go by, the album will feature lighter pop tunes. Other tracks accompanying the release are ‘Blue & Grey’, ‘Stay’, ‘Dis-ease’, ‘Fly to my Room’, and more. Further, the first two will follow Dynamite’s suit, playing out in English.
In a statement that accompanied the initial album announcement, the boys’ label wrote that this album would contain the “most BTS-esque” songs to date. In addition, thematically, the project will explore the members’ thoughts and deepest reflections during this surreal time in history – the global coronavirus pandemic.
Now, with explosive commercial success, a foothold on the Western pop music map, and a truckload of goodwill, BTS are primed for success. “BE” and ‘Life Goes On’ drops on the 20th of November, 2020, 2:00 PM KST.
