British girl group, Little Mix, are gearing up to offer a whole new era in their discography. The four member group took to social media late last night to announce the release of a brand new studio album. The upcoming project, titled “Confetti”, will make its landing on the 6th of November.
In a statement about the upcoming album, the girls wrote: “We are soooo happy to share this news with you guys, our new album will be all yours 6th November 2020.” Further, they wrote, “So much love, emotion and energy has gone into the making of this record and now the news is out we can finally get excited about it with you!!”
“Confetti” will serve as Little Mix’s sixth studio album, and the first full-fledged follow up to their 2018 release, “LM5”. From the stylisation of the album cover, fans speculate that the upcoming release will see the girls exploring a retro, disco pop sound, different from their previous work. In addition, the album will feature their previously released one off singles – ‘Break Up Song’ and ‘Holiday’.
Little Mix, who debuted back in 2012, have brought attention back to the British pop music scene, consistently delivering on the performance front. Offering up various chart-toppers and singles that are big on the radio circuit, their upcoming album is marked as a highly anticipated release. Further, “Confetti” will serve as the first album by the group recorded under RCA UK.
Little Mix in Quarantine
Meanwhile, the girls have been busy during the Great Quarantine of 2020. Aside from a barrage of pre-promotion online, Little Mix have been dropping hints about their involvement with the upcoming album. Further, they recently took the internet by storm when they delivered a melodic arrangement of Harry Styles’ ballad, ‘Falling’.
‘Holiday’ and ‘Break Up Song’, the two singles off the upcoming album are available on all streaming platforms now. And, “Confetti”, the sixth studio album from Little Mix is scheduled to release on the 6th of November.
