Madonna’s Life Will Hit the Silver Screen: Details Here

Pop icon, Madonna, is all set to make her directorial debut with an upcoming biopic on her life. The singer-songwriter recently revealed that she has joined hands with script writer, Diablo Cody, to co-write and co-direct the upcoming project. 

Madonna’s social media has been flooded with hints about the upcoming project. Further, she has shared clips of the work in progress, including her writing sessions with Cody. And, most recently, she confirmed her involvement with the project in a statement. She said, “I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world.”

Further, she added: “There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision.

In addition, Madonna’s contribution will also lend itself to direction. The upcoming, untitled film. will be produced by Amy Pascal and Universal.

Now, not many details about the form or style of the film have been revealed. But, if Diablo Cody’s roster is anything to go by, the biopic will follow in the gritty, reflective style of her previous work. Diablo Cody is the writer behind cult hits, ‘Juno’, ‘Jennifer’s Body’, ‘Young Adult’, and more.  

In addition, Madonna’s time in quarantine has been a busy one. Aside from her work on this film, the singer also recently made an appearance on Dua Lipa’s remix album, on the the track ‘Levitating’.
