Maluma Releases First Single “Hawai” From Upcoming Album
On July 29, 2020, Colombian singer, Maluma released his song “Hawai” as the first single from his forthcoming album. Along with the release of the track, the superstar also left fans mesmerized when he dropped a thrilling music video which already has over 3.5 million views. The song is not even a day old and people can’t seem to get enough of it which he promoted all over his social media accounts.
Maluma stars in the music video of “Hawai” as the lead actor. The upbeat Spanish track has been produced by the Dance/Electronic duo “Rude Boyz” and was co-written by Keityn, Edgar Barrera, and Bulle Nene. Whether you understand the language or not, you will fall in love with the beats and his voice, undoubtedly.
The exhilarating video tells fans a wonderful story of the actor’s heartbreak and the aftermath of the breakup. Maluma not only wrote and sang this lively dance record but also wrote the storyline for the gripping music video.
The video begins with a scene where Maluma’s character fights with his girlfriend before they both split up. Through the next few minutes of the compelling video, the singer goes to extreme lengths like going to his ex’s wedding ceremony to try and woo her back. However, the tale ends in a plot twist that no one saw coming.
Even though Maluma has not announced a release date for the album, he left fans excited when he hinted in an interview that it’ll be dropping later this year.
In the interview, he said, “I didn’t know that I was about to release an album this year because all of these things are happening. I had this chance to know myself again in this crazy sh– that is going on. So, I decided to make the music that I just wanted to do. “Hawái” for sure is the first single of my new album.”
Maluma recently went through a messy break up with long-time girlfriend Natalia Barulích. Whether this music video is a direct depiction of a real-life story or is just a well-written story is a question that requires an answer.
