Miley Cyrus Pays Heartfelt Tribute For Pitbull Mary Jane
Miley Cyrus shared on her Instagram stories yesterday (Jan 7) that her beloved mix-breed pitbull passed away after a long battle with cancer. The singer also put up a loving and tear-jerking tribute to her sweet companion on her Instagram feed, in the form of a song.
Miley Cyrus shared many stories along with the IGTV song and also, a long caption. Part of the write up included, “MJ was a true queen. She wore her grace, dignity & kindness like a crown. She will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. To know her is to love her. It has been my honour being her mom and best friend. #RestInParadise.”
Mary Jane 4EVR!!!
Miley’s song ‘Mary Jane’ was initially to be released along with others for her album “SHE IS COMING” which dropped in 2019. However, the song was scrapped. And, fans have been begging the singer to drop the song. One way or another, the song is finally here despite being an unreleased track.
The teen idol and pop star, Miley Cyrus wrote, “I wrote this song in Malibu years ago on a piano in a house that no longer exists. About my dog Mary Jane who is also gone now. A lot has changed over time. Mostly me”
Miley Cyrus also included that this song is about loss and heartache. Which explains perfectly what Miley is going through right now with the loss of her dog. The track is produced by Mike Will, Andrew Wyatt and Emile Haynie and the video credits for the track go to Alana O’ Herlihy. Our hearts are aching, yours too?
Very few things hurt more than the loss of a sweet furry companion. And, especially for someone who loves them as much as the singer has. More strength and power to you, Miley!
