Post Malone’s Giving us a New Album in 2020
Post Malone recently announced that his next album is in the making! It’s going to be difficult to top his previous smash hit, ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ but you never know, perhaps Posty’s got something new up his sleeve!
“I hope to have a record out for the fans in 2020,” the rapper said, when discussing his plans following the second leg of his North American tour, which kicks off on February 4th.
Perhaps we’ll also get a chance to see a new bunch of artists featured on this upcoming album, as Malone’s never really shied away from interesting collaborations. From Halsey to Future, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott, SZA, Swae Lee, and Young Thug, the singer managed to get quite the star cast on board for his previous album. Despite the fact that these artists work with such a variety of sounds, Malone has managed to adapt his tracks to their style and still produce a number of chart topping hits, which is quite a feat to achieve.
In fact, the singer also shares a close relationship with a lot of the artists he’s collaborated with, particularly Ozzy Osbourne. Recently, when the rock legend was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, Malone sent his well-wishes to him, “Working with him and hanging out with him and being around him, you can’t tell. You can tell he has a little difficulty getting around, but he’s so strong.” The pair collaborated on ‘Take What You Want’ from Malone’s last album, and even shared a stage at the AMAs last year. “He’s going to keep kicking ass,” Malone added and we don’t doubt it!
Surprisingly, despite being nominated in two categories for the Grammys, the ‘Rockstar’ hitmaker didn’t show up. Malone was on the list for both “Sunflower,” off the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack and ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding,’ but he decided to stay home in Salt Lake City to relax.
His reason? Well, it was pretty plain and simple! “I’m taking it nice and easy. I needed a little break because I’ve been partying a little hard, so it feels good to be back home and playing Call of Duty. I’m going to take some R&R and get some beauty sleep so my body and voice doesn’t suck on tour.”
We completely understand, because he’s actually got quite a few busy months ahead of him! Not only is he set for a Super Bowl party in Miami, but after that, he’s kicking off his second North American tour. And once that’s done, he’ll be back in his studio, working on his next project for 2020!
